Iowa: Sgt. Michael Kevin Fuhs -US Army

Michael Fuhs attended basic training in May of 1972 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He went on to his AIT training at Fort Gordon, GA and later attended MP School and Jump School at Fort Bragg, NC. Qualified with the 308 caliber K-20 rifle, he was assigned to SOG 18/BDE Sniper in Vietnam.

Michael quotes : “I covered many of my fellow buddies". Michael was sent to K-town Germany in 1976 with Charlie Company 94th MP BN, an Anti-terrorist Unit. He was discharged in June of 1976. Michael continued his career in Law Enforcement until retirement. He still calls Ottumwa ,IA home.
