Command Sergeant Major Alex Ray Lackey
United States Army Reserve
 

Command Sergeant Major Alex Ray Lackey began his service in the United States Army Reserve October  of 1970. He served in many capacities at a variety of post including the 82nd Airborne Div at Fort Bragg , 4th Brigade, Fort Knox, KY, and  2nd Infantry Division, Korea.

CSM Lackey  was in the Pentagon on 11 September, 2001 and assisted in the rescue efforts that day. In 1982 CSM Lackey was awarded the Army Reserve Drill Seargent of the Year. 

Other awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Noncommissioned Offices Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and the Superior Unit Award. 

Ray Lackey continues to support his local community by serving on the on the Bowling Green/Warren County Veterans Affairs board, and a host of other civic organizations.
