Sergeant Jerome Lewis Berger
Service Branch: US Marine Corps Air Mobile Unit 1st Cavalry

Sergeant Jerome Berger served his country in Vietnam 1966 - 67.  Stationed out of Anke Central Highlands,  Vietnam, Sgt. Berger was in charge of a platoon consisting of 30 men with the Air Mobile 1st Calvalry.  For his service and heroism in battle he was awarded the Bronze Star. 

His daughter quotes:
“Not many people considered men like my father to be heroes in their day.
I consider my father a hero everyday, as do other families who know
Soldiers who have been at war or are currently serving our great country.”

Each person who serves our great country is a hero in our eyes.
