MM2 Gary Walters
 

Gary Walters proudly served his country in the US Navy. Before graduating from high school in 1963, Gary attended Submarine Potential school at the submarine base in Groton CT.

In the spring of 1964 he attended and graduated Submarine School and was sent to Great Lakes for Machinest Mate School. The first Sea Duty was on the USS Greenfish SS351 at Pearl Harbor. Six months later Gary was sent to new construction at Electric Boat where he became a Plankowner on board the Francis Scott Key SSBN657 making patrols as part of the Gold Crew. 

Gary attained the rank of MM2 (SS). Gary now lives in Wisconsin where he continues to be of service to his local community as a member of the American Legion.
